Miniature canvas with Finnabairs Opal Magic acrylic paints

Have you tried the new Opal Magic colours from Finnabair? It is 8 different colours. This colours have one colour if you paint on a light background and a different colour if you paint on a dark background. The colours are quite thick. They are super to paint over things like metal, gesso and flowers.

Here, I have painted a Small canvas (10 x 10cm) to test the colours on a dark background. The same colours used on a light background can be seen in this blogpost

How the canvas was decorated

I used a ruler stencil from Tim Holtz and gesso to create the structure on the bacground on the canvas. Then I have added flowers and metal parts from an old typewriter and computer. The glue ised here is Liquitex's super Heavy matt medium.

After the glue has dried, tha canvas has been painted with black gesso, When the gesso has dried, the canvas was dry painted with the Opal Magic colours. Remember to have very little paint on your brush when you dry paint.

The Opal Magic paint covers parts of the structures on the canvas, and every colour is only used on part of the canvas.

In the end, I have added bling and glitter.
